| The
picturesque town of Kleinmond lies within the Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve,
an hours drive from Cape Town, at the heart of the “fynbos” kingdom. The
Cape “fynbos”, named by the early Dutch settlers, meaning “fine-leafed
bushes”, describes a unique collection of all the plants that make up this,
the smallest of the world's six plant Kingdoms. To put a little perspective
on this diversity, the 100'000 hectare Kogelberg Biosphere Reserve contains
more species of plants than the entire British Isles combined. In 1998 this
beautiful area of the Cape south coast became the first UNESCO-declared
Biosphere Reserve in Southern Africa. Contact us for bookings and more details: Pino Mari Holiday Homes & OVERBERG PROPERTIES. Tel: +27 28-271-3047 Fax:+27 28-271-3404 email:pinomari@iafrica.com Our website was awarded a: EXCELLENT CONTENT WEBSITE AWARD. |
